odd happenings

So my 770 decided to not turn on this morning along with my 990...it was working last night.

I've not had the DC trigger connected since I have moved yet it has worked.

to troubleshoot, I connected a mini mini to the DC trigger and viola it worked...how is this possible that I was running it without it?

This is just a wild shot here but maybe the 770 has been left powered up all this time and somehow was turned off last night.

Well I've moved recently so that might be it...I must have forgotten to enable the DC trigger when I setup and it has been on all this time (gulp) as you suggested...I wonder what shut it off...I know I didn't.

What I don't get is it worked last night, today I turn on the prepro as usual and just bass yet the standby light of the 770 was on. Turning the 770 on and off via the front switch did nothing, it never did the 'click and hum' startup...very curious.

One fear is that I have the wrong cable for the trigger, anyone know if its specific to the hardware?

It needs to be a mono cable, not a stereo cable, I think it's noted in the manual. You can get one at any radio shack.

yep, i'm using a mono cable, I believe it to be the cable that came with it.

It works, it triggers, I am just curious how it was working without it for so long =D
