is Outlaw 770 a common ground amp - 07/12/04 02:22 PM

I konow I could ohm it out but I can't bear the thought of picking this beast up and removing all my connections. If any1 would know off hand it would really help me in making some decisions.

Thanks

Not bridged but common ground like a NAK PA7 STASIS. The reason for asking is I have a couple pair of Polk Audio SDA's that require common ground.

Thanks

Why don't you just call Outlaw and ask?

Hello HBomb,

Unfortunately, the 770 is not a common ground amp.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Best,

Polk makes a 'non-common ground amplifier' adapter for your SDA's. It replaces the interconnect between the two speakers. I had two Adcom GFA-555's bridged in mono that were considered a non-common ground and had to use this adapter with my SDA-SRS 2's.

Anyone know the proper way to hook up a REL Storm sub high-level inputs to the 770?
The high-level input is used to provide a 'matched' signal for blending the REL sub with the mains nicely. I also will use the low-level in to feed the sub LFE effects for cinema. This is REL's preferred setup method, using both high and low level inputs.
Thing is, I'm not sure how the 770 needs to have this high-level connection wired to it!

Could someone who knows the 770 architecture please look at pages 12, 13, 14 of the REL manual and let me know? I would be forever grateful!
