950 remote control help

In the last week or two I have been having a problem with my remote control. The remote "locks up" whenever I want to adjust the volume or any of the 950 functions. It will still operate the DVD, Directv box, etc. I press the AUD button and nothing. I've tried changing batteries which does not help. Any suggestions or has anyone experienced this problem. Thanks

It sounds like the AUD button may have gotten re-programmed to control something other than the 950, since that would cause the volume punch-through and all of the buttons under the AUD device to quit doing anything. Does the LED light up to indicate that it's sending a signal at all, or is it just not doing anything? Either way, I'd suggest letting Outlaw know - they may be able to get you back in business.

Gonk, thanks for the reply. Turns out that my "fresh" batteries were not that fresh after all. Put "new" oines in and remote works fine now. Maybe the remote got wedged with a button pressed down and wore out the batteries as often happens when I fall asleep in my chair.
