950 Remote and Denon 2200 DVD

Has anyone got the 950 Remote to control a Denon 2200 DVD player? I've tried setting the remote to the code listed in the manual, but I still can't get it to work. I can set it up by learning the commands, but was just wondering if it can be done by using one of the codes.

I often recommend that anyone using the 950's remote also pick up the SL-9000 manual , which goes into greater detail on the 950's remote than the 950's manual does. From that manual, you can get four more codes for Denon DVD players to go with the code in the 950 manual. One of those five codes (014, 007, 206, 207, and 080) ought to work for the 2200.

I did try all the codes, and I still can't get it to work. I almost positive I'm following the manual, hit the device button along with the mute, then input the code, (device should turn off), then hit the device button again to accept.

You will have to program it using the auto search. I had the same problem with a Denon 2800 mk 2. none of the codes worked for me but the auto search mode found it. It is explained in the 950 manual on the bottom of page 38. hope this helps.
