remote programming - 05/09/04 08:02 PM

anybody with an outlaw 950 pre/pro. I have a Denon dvd that has a seperate on and off at the remote. I am manually setting up the outlaw remote with commands and i am wondering if i can assign two commands to one button. Such as the power button on the outlaw to be able to turn the dvd player on and off.

Thanks in advance

Sorry, you cannot program two different commands to the same button.

I have a similar issue with my Yamaha receiver and an MX-500 remote, a different remote made by the same company as the one with the 950 (please correct me if I'm wrong on this). What I've done is include the off command for the receiver with the overall system off and setup one of the macros to include turning on the receiver, as well as the other components that I usually use. This has worked well for me, but the casual user of the system usually cannot remember this.

If you, or anybody else, has a better way of doing this, I'd be anxious to learn.
