950 B-Stock Question

950 B-Stock Question - 02/22/04 02:53 PM

Any reason to go ahead and spend the extra $100 and buy a 950 *new*, rather than from the B-Stock supply?

A small scratch or scuff here-or-there I can accept, but if there's potential for me to receive *any* sort of out-of-date B-stock unit with less features or functionality, then I'd prefer to just buy new.

Thanks!
Rick

EDIT: Just found an old post from Oct/2003 that basically said that I would receive a B-stock unit up to current 950's specs.

I believe that B-stock are only available with a new Outlaw amp, so if you don't need an amp you'd want to get one from new stock. Otherwise, there's nothing actually wrong with B-stock.

Thanks, Gonk.

I might be able to successfully hook up the 950 to my now-archaic Pioneer VSX-608 for amp purposes, but I think that particular piece needs to be retired. So I'm opting for the whole 950/7100 she-bang, complete with Outlaw cables, to see how that fits in my system.
