Weird no sound problem

I wanted to know if anyone who is experienced with the 950 may know the cause/solution to a strange problem.

While trying to program punch through, the analog audio signal from my cable box suddenly stopped coming through. The mode on the 950 is analog/stereo and nothing changed except me fiddling with the remote. Digital audio signals from the same box come still come through fine. Any ideas?

Could the volume on the cable box's output gotten turned down or muted? That wouldn't affect the digital output but could certainly screw up the analog output from the box.
