Program remote to power up 950 - 11/27/03 05:20 PM

I would like to program a "non Outlaw" remote to power up my 950. What is the code for an Outlaw product? I do not see it listed anywhere.

What remote are you using? The code will depend on the brand of remote, and unfortunately many remotes will not include a code for Outlaw. Some of Home Theater Master's remotes (such as the MX-700) do include codes, as do the Kameleon style remotes. There are downloadable codes for some of the JP1 remotes (see here and here for more info on them), and of course for the Philips Pronto remotes.

Does the remote support learning commands from other remotes, similar to the 950's remote?

It is a Dish network remote; I do not know what brand that is and it is not programmable.

Forget it, I have a Dish Network remote and it cannot support the Outlaw codes. Maybe in the future Dish will supply a "real" multi-component learning remote.
