Ugh 950 i think is dead dead dead

So I was on a work trip and my wife called saying she couldn't turn off the 950. The remote didn't work and hitting the power button didn't work. The display was stuck on. When changing volume the display did not change. I told her to just leave it. I get home and yup, cannot turn it off via remote or physical switch. I pull the power and plug it back in, still can't turn it on now. Ugh. Anyone else encounter this? I thought maybe it is just a switch issue but I should still be able to use the remote.
