XLR Pinout?

XLR Pinout? - 08/14/08 05:45 PM

I recently upgraded the preamp in my 2 channel system and was wondering about one small detail. I will be using balanced connections (and outlaw cables) and was curious, what is the pinout for the M 2200 or any outlaw XLR connector for that matter. I was hoping it was a standard with other companies, however, I am finding out that this may not be the case. In other words my preamp has ground on pin 1, + (non-inverted) on pin 2, and on pin 3 (- inverted). I see a lot of people have changed since the XLR connectors went to the "snap" lock. Scott can you confirm this pinout for the Outlaw equipment? Thanks in advance!

Hello Crescendo,

Our amplifiers do support the standard XLR configuration of pin 1 (ground), pin 2 (+) and pin 3 (- "differential").

Best,

Scott
