Where can I find this RCA splitter? - 03/23/07 10:52 AM
I'm helping set up a system for my parents.
They have a DVD player that is outputting stereo audio RCA to their TV. I also need to run stereo RCA out of the DVD to another component. (Digital is not an option here).
Does anyone know if I can find a stereo RCA splitter that has 2 male prongs on one side and 4 females on the other?
Thanks.

Oops, I think I answered my own question. I was looking for 1 splitter to do the above when it turns out I'll have to get 2 - like 2 of these:

Two of those would work (pricey, though - $60 each). Outlaw's
splitters are $25 each. Did you also consider a switch box like
this ?

Thanks Gonk - I hadn't considered a switch box like that Radio Shack piece. If I'm not mistaken, though, it looks like that box has 2 inputs and 1 output - I need 1 input and 2 outputs.
I'll probably just go to radio shack and buy 2 cheap Y splitters...
Thanks again for your help.

You can always hook it up backward - the signal will go either direction equally well, it's just labeled as two-in/one-out because that's the most common application.

Gotcha, I wondered if that was the case...
Thanks Gonk.
