DVI cable recommendations?

I currently have a Monster DVI cable but I am not sure I am getting all that my DLP is capable of with HD. Anyone have any experiences with different brands?

I've been using Pacific Cable cables because they are significantly less expensive than Monster, and I've had good luck with them.

One thing I've noticed with DVI is that HD cable box makers are still getting the hang of DVI - my Pace box's DVI output is if anything slightly less crisp than the component output, and I've read notes on AVS forums that seem to have similar results with other brands. In theory, DVI should be a superior format, and eventually I think it will be, but they may still be getting the kinks worked out.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the implementation of the HDCP used on these outputs??? If they insist on using copy protection I hope it is truly transparent but I won't hold my breath. I'm still waiting for TimeWarner and Scientific Atlanta to enable the DVI port on my HD converter box so it's all guesswork for me at this point.

I have a Motorola satellite box with Voom and the DVI is way superior to component so maybe I am lucky there. I was actually checking out the Cobalt DVI cable since my speaker cables by them are outstanding but they are two different animals. I will check out the Pacific cable.

I ended up going with the Cobalt DVI since I had such great results with their speaker cables. I'll let you know how it goes.

Got the Cobalt DVI and my picture is noticeably clearer than with the Monster DVI (for sale on Ebay). I continue to be impressed by this company's products. My Voom HD looks even more spectacular. Highly recommended.
