I will be running the 950/755, so I only need 5 cables. However, at some point in the future I may add two more surrounds abd the amps for 7.1.
So, if I get the 7-cable set, is there a cover that comes with the cables... or some other way to isolate the unused connectors?

There's no problem with getting all of them now. The cables will come in a series of heavy duty plastic "zip lock" type bags, and you could leave the extra set in one of those bags indefinitely if you wanted to.

Nope, if you buy 7 cables you have to go to 7.1, sorry that's just the way it is. Well, at least that what I would try to make everyone believe.

well... If I could convince my wife that two more Boston Bravos would look great on the ceiling, then I'd be doin' 7.1 right now!
Till then, I'm sporting mad 5.1 power... I bought the 950/755/LFM1 package and I love it.
