When I purchased the 950/7100 I also purchased a 7 pack set of PCA cables since I needed to connect the two. They are very nice cables. Here is my question. I have a universal DVD player (pioneer 563a) and have the six channel connections made to the 950 with some "cheapo" RCA cables. It sounds fine. Would it be worth the dollars to buy a six pack PCA set from Outlaw and replace the "cheapo" set? What would I expect to get? Better sound or just better looking cables?

Unless you have super calibrated hearing ,I doubt you will hear anything significant. Better cables typically will get you better construction, and perhaps superior shielding. Something on the order of the AR higher grade cables, or Radio Shack's Gold cables would suffice for anything pretty much IMHO. Or move up to the Outlaws set, or even build your own for a lot less money, if you are so inclined.

yes, in analog cables you will be able to tell differences between freebies and a decent cable. how much you will be able to hear... i guess youll have to tell us.
