Hello ALL.
It has been a while since I have been on this forum..years. A lot has changed in my 2channel system, from SS to tubes and an external tube dac with a tube pre-amp.
Something that has not changed after all these years is my HOME THEATER.
I still have my Mitsubishi HC 6800 projector AND my beloved OUTLAW 990/7700 combo.
Nothing is wrong with anything however I have been wanting to improve my processor and was looking at the Outlaw 976 and also some Marantz products which are more💰.
That said, the money is there to upgrade however I am seeing things in the more costly units that I WILL NEVER USE....Atmos is one and 11+ channels is another.
The 990 has served me well and that is why I am considering the 976 not b/c of money however I would like to hear from some patrons of the 976.
Is it better than the 990 in regards to sound in Home Theater presentation?
Does it support the ability to for me to use two powered subwoofers?
If not the Outlaw 976 processor...what are your suggestions keeping in mind I intend to keep my 7700amplifier using balanced cables and I am considering the purchase of a new blu-ray 4k player.
Suggestions for the 4k player are appreciated.
