For about a week now, my 976 shuts off my amp whenever I turn the 976 own. I am using the trigger and after the 976 boots up the amp starts flashing red on all channels. I now have the trigger disconnected but the amp still shuts off if I turn the 976 on first. The only way to get the amp to stay on is to turn it on first and then turn power up the 976 after that. Thanks for any input.

I have tried unplugging the amp from the power source for awhile but I have not done a factory reset of the 976 yet. I hate to lose all my settings on the 976 unless I just have to.

Sounds like a circuit overload. Try plugging the amp into a different receptacle on a different breaker. There should be no way for the amp to sense the status of the 976 without the trigger connected. Amps can have large inrush currents when first started. If the current is still there when the 976 comes on the amp may go into protection mode. Check all your connections to make sure no stray wires are crossing. As a extra check look at your trigger settings in the menu.

Thanks for the input. I will try those suggestions.

Thanks XenonMan. I ended up having a speaker cable on the back of the amp that had come out just a bit. I pushed it back in and it powers up ok now with the trigger connected back.
