NOT SURE IF THIS IS 976 RELATED...But I have tried using 3 phono preamps. The MOON by Simaudio 110LP V2 Phono Preamplifier, the Pro-Ject Tube Box DS and the Music Hall Mini Plus. I have followed the directions carefully in setting the Dip Switches on the Moon and DS Preamps, and the result was that the Moon sounded like all the highs were taken away, and the DS had no right side signal at all. The Music Hall Mini Plus has no Dip Switch adjustments, and only a button on the front for pF 120/220/330 (no audible difference when toggling between the settings)...and it performs flawlessly! These are all NEW devices. Anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening?
