I cannot connect to the 975 through my PC. I've double checked everything as far as cables, routing,...etc.

Has anyone had similar problems, and solutions?

Is the 975 selected as the default sound card in your control panel sound settings(for PC and/or whatever the mac equivalent might be)? Other than that I tap out.

Does your PC have an HDMI output?

Yes, I have an HDMI out from my PC into my 975, everything is routed correctly, and I get this message, even though it IS plugged in:

Looks like a handshake issue. Try restarting your PC and see if it comes up. If not, then leave the PC on and restart the 975. Make sure you don't have that HDMI port on the 975 aligned to support some other connection. Try another HDMI cable.

Your PC sees the 975 as the audio device. But, your TV is the device that facilitates the handshaking. In addition to what Xenonman has described, you should reboot the TV as well. All three devices should be re-booted. The 975 input config should be left at native res.

I've updated my software to the most recent version, hoping that might somehow fix the issue. It didn't. My laptop and 975 can't see each other.....except to tell me that they can't see each other.

Looking back at the link of the 'sound, playback' window, wouldn't the HDMI connection need to be set up in the control panel's Display folder? Example- an alternate display output?
