picked up one of these (in black) off of the ecost site the other day.
I must say that I really like the unit. its nice not having to get up to switch the brystons on and off. the current and volt meters are great too.

I use this , Love it! I once used a Bryston 4b .

yeah, I love the brystons. we use em at work in all the studios and they nearly never break down(very easy to work on if they do) and sound great. no fan noise is also nice....and they make nice heaters for them cold nights...hehe

Bryston makes grerat stuff yet the sound is on the lean side.

that`s the first time I`ve ever heard anyone say that about bryston amps. I find them very flat across the spectrum.
maybe by "lean" you mean no bass boost...

The Brytson company is awesome. I met one of the owners once, Chris. This sound is very much like solid state where the sound is on the lean side, not full.

it would make sense for a bryston to sound like a solid state amp since it is solid state.

but I don`t agree in general that solid state amps don`t sound "full".

everyone has right to his/her own opinion though.

Solid State amps tend to sound lean when compared to good Tube amps.
