Anyone else having problems with the format changing between commercials and football action on CBS?
Dolby Pro Logic keeps on dropping out during Hi-Def games broadcast from CBS, delivered to my 1050. Only time this happens. Jim

I notice the same thing during comercials with my 990 and a Comcast Sci-Atlantic cable box non-HD using a digital coax cable. I have no idea why but your not alone.

The format often changes with HD broadcasts because the ads are in Dolby 2.0 even when the program is in Dolby 5.1. The non-HD may be due to ads being broadcast in PCM and the program in Dolby 2.0, I suppose, although I haven't noticed it with my Pace Micro box.

I have a RCA HD receiver connected to my 970 and I don't se complete drop-outs per-se, just some "hesitation" accompanied sometimes by a small pop. I have noticed that some over-the-air stations do a better job than others. Where I live (DC area), FOX HD is the best in my opinion at keeping formats mostly uniform during sports events and HD programming. CBS is the worst, sometimes switching mid-game like when momentarily showing another game or a report from an alternate location (extremely annoying). I don't have drop-out problems with DirecTV HD channels, just the over-the-air channels.
