It looks pretty slick, but this is the first I've heard of it. I'd be curious to hear what folks think of it, if anybody does pick one up.

Checked out Remote Central this morning, found these two user review pages (second one is currently empty) on the Kameleon.

The second Remote Central Link is for the European Version. One for all has a nice site for the remote. RadioShack does not have a support site for the remote that I can find and uei's site has not support at all just the demo I put in my first post.

This thing does not have a JP1 interface but is supposed to be upgradable over the phone. The reviews seem to bash the support the most.

Problem seem to be battery life, support, missing buttons mentioned for DVD mode such as no subtitle button.

Plus side seems to be $60 price is not bad for the features including macros, east to program.

I like the fact that it senses that you are picking it up through motion and turns on the display. If only you could program your own display like the pronto. I bet someone will figure out how to hack this thing soon.

Does anyone know if on the DVD setting, can the control (play, stop, etc) be used separate from the navigation (menu selections)keys.
Most DVD remotes have separate transport control and navigation keys.
On the 950 I dont have navigation keys (unless I assign them to other keys)

I checked the Radio Shack website. They say they have none in stock. I checked with my local store and the they haven't gotten any yet. The guy there said they hadn't even heard about it until about a month ago and he wasn't sure when they would be getting any in the store.
I have some misgivings about anything from Radio Shack except wire and speaker plugs, but if this remote does what it says it does for $60.00, that would be a great deal.
Have any Outlaws actually witnessed this thing in action?
