I have a Niles Audio Stage Front Pro15SW subwoofer that seems to have blown out (power supply problem). Hopefully I can fix it, but if not I'll need to replace it. My family room is about 15'x15'maybe a bit larger and that Niles speaker was really overkill by at least 200% (strong bass in movie soundtracks could literally peel the paint off the walls with that sub if you set the SW level too high!). I got it because I used to work for Niles and the price was VERY low (the cabinet was a cosmetic defect that could not be resold, I think I paid about $40 for it!)

Anyway the LFM-1 compact will fit my budget and I think it will be able to handle this size room (wood floors, no drapes, simple blinds for window treatments). The sub will sit in a corner of the room to the right of the large screen tv. As my satellite speakers are only 6.5" drivers for LF I do need some LF support from a subwoofer. Would I go wrong with the LFM-1-compact in a room this size?
