Hey all,
I am new to this site and just wanted to say hi! Made my first Outlaw purchase yesterday; the LFM 1EX! I can't wait to get it!! Anyway, just one concern:
1) The sub will be placed on hardwood floor... seems it might move around a bit when it starts shaking!? Any ideas? Right now, we use those floor protectors for furniture, etc. (pieces that u can buy either square, round, etc). Not sure if this would work with the sub though.
Anyway, any users of the sub + hardwood floors? Appreciate any feedback.
Thxs in advance

I've purchased Outlaw cables and have been impressed with the quality so for our christmas gift to ourselves we just ordered the LFM 1EX to add as our second subwoofer. I too am very curious to see how this sub improves the sound of our surround set up.
I have Canton Ego towers, Canton center, 4 Kef bookshelfs for the other surround effects and I used to be in the car audio years ago and built my own sealed sub with a 15" dual voice coil Redline powered by a NAD power amp bridged mono.
I've heard about that gramma platform but will wait to see if there is really a need.

I now have the LFM1ex installed and am pleased with the performance. Thi additional sub has really improved the bass. Listening to movies like Star Wars where some scenes have strong low end sounds really impressed me with the response. The bass with my home made sub coupled with this Outlaw sub has provided a very strong yet natural low end that we are enjoying in our home theater. I wonder if three subs are better than two?

Just thought that I would ask this question. I have the JL Audio Fathom 113 subwoofer (LOVE IT)and was thinking about adding another sub(Outlaw LFM1 EX) but I am not sure if there will be a problem since they would not be the same subwoofer. Any thoughts?

You might have some difficulty if the subs have substantially different bass extension and your driving both directly from your pre-amp sub out. For a while I was running a velodyne that bottomed out at about 30 and a Hsu that went a bit lower. with no equalization, the volume essentially dropped by 50% below 30hz. If your using one sub to support your mains and the other for LFE that wouldn't be a ploblem, or something like the SMS would help by increasing the signal to the second sub after the first rolls off. Aside from this, I found that at least in my room, the second sub evened out the bass considerably for different listening positions and gave a richer sound than I had achieved with one.

mahansm Wow! you've got three outlaw subs, how would describe the sound. Did you do them all at once or can you comment on sound of one, then two, then three?
