Anyone use headphones when the family is asleep? I have been thinking about getting a pair. Any recommendations from my fellow outlaws????

Hello, Sennheiser headphones may be worth looking into. They make an excellent line of headphones, and they have been around a very long time. Try a search for the HD series.

Also try AKG 'phones.
Using ordinary phones like SENNs or AKGs thru the headphone jack on front mutes the speakers. Good for family asleep.

However using Zone 2 lets you listen (like to CD) while family watches TV. smile

My personal choice for closed, lower-moderate weight and comfort, while not a maximum performer but has good bang-4-the-buck: Beyerdynamic DT 231.

Edit: Some great information and reviews here: HeadRoom - right between your ears . Many kinds, large price range. The DT231's are reviewed in at least two sections, Earpad Headphones and Sealed / Noise Canceling.
