Ok, I will be the first here, I love the sound of the Infinity IL 50's, crystal Clear with powered subwoofer built in, I have had several sets of speakers in my lifetime and these are the best so far..They will rock you!

Hi Fi, I have a full set of Interludes,
IL 60's fronts,
IL 36 center
IL 30's rears,
and Entra Wall speakers for back surrounds

I just bought the outlaw 770 to power these using my kenwood 6070 as the Pre. While the 6070 had good output, 92Watts full rated at 6 channels as tested by S&V, I still felt it was missing some bandwidth. The 770 gave me what I was missing. I now have much better mid and low end on all the speakers, where the current of the 6070 was lacking.

I also bought the RABOS kit and used it on the IL 60's. I had a 10dB room bounce at 46Hz and the parametric filter worked great at knocking this down and taming the subs which are now tight and clean. I used the RABOS cd to play some of the 20-40Hz rumble tracks and these subs just play these low frequencies with ease, just pounding me in the chest. I love them.

I was at CES and talked to one of of the Field Marketing infinity reps who also had the Interludes. He said these were the best value speakers that Infinity made, better than the Alphas which are really just the European speakers that they brought to the US to replace the Interludes. I asked why the Interludes went buy buy and he said it was just the sytling that became dated.

Anyhow, I got all my units off ebay via the harmon audio shop for killer deals. I ended up paying like 1/3rd the retail value, so I am extremely happy.

Yes, the 60'2 are 4 way speakers, 1" tweeter, 3" mid, 6.5" woofer, and a built in 500W powered 12" in each tower. They are rock solid speakers.

I listened to some Intermezzo's at CES and compared to my Interludes, the sound is very similar. Of course I would have to say the Intermezzo's were great, but for the money, the Interludes can't be beat.

I also listened to the $25,000 pair of JBL reference speakers that just came out and they were powered by some Mark Levinson amps and head unit. I figure the whole set-up probably ran upwards of $50,000 for a stereo set of speakers. They sounded awesome, but at what price.
