After many happy movie nights, it is time for my Outlaw 1050 to retire. It will be replaced by an Integra DTC 9.8 to drive a Paradigm Studio (40v2) setup.

I'm looking at mating the Integra to an amp via balanced connectors. I would like some guidance on the differences between a 7700 and 7x2200 .

What I have gathered so far:
- Scott said that the 7700 is a full differential design. Not sure for the 2200.
- 7700 is a full A/B design, while the 2200 is A/B + G at ~80 watts.
- 2 tranformers @ 1800w (7700) vs 7 transformers @ 600w each (2200)
- Less overall space for the 7700 compared to one stack of 7x2200. One stack of 7 2200 may cause heat issues.

Beside Gonk's review of the 7500 vs older monoblocks, I couldn't locate any review comparing the two setups sonically.

As the 7700 is currently priced ~420$ higher than 7x2200 shipped, I'd like your input to understand the differences.

Any help/opinions appreciated.
