Anyone out there using a DVI output from an ATI video card switched through the 970?

I tried to hook this up the other day. When I hooked up my PC to my TV directly with a HDMI-DVI cable it worked fine. As soon as I wired it through the switch on the Outlaw the PC didn't recognize the "Monitor".

I didn't have much time time to troubleshoot.

Regards,

Charlie

Hey Charlie,
I got a dual DVI ATI video card...
maybe this will help...
I noticed my computer shuts off the DVI output to my 1070 when I don't use it...
(that could be your problem)
I have to go in my display settings and click it on each time...
Kinda sucked...so for now or until I need DVI switching...I bypassed the 1070 as far as the DVI is concerned...
Dan

I did a little playing around yesterday. I used a different DVI cable. Right now it works if I turn on my TV/970 first and set it to Input 2 before I turn on the PC. If I don't do that I have the problem that you mentioned. I have to go into the ATI driver and re-enable the TV.

I'm sure that this is all ATI related at this point. Thanks for the reply. I'll have to try to dig into the ATI driver and see if I can turn off the AutoDetect of resolution and hardware. If the card would just output what we want it would work.

I actually have 3 DVI/HDMI sources that I want to use. (Computer/DVD/Dig Cable). Currently I am switching the DVD and Computer. I want to build a HD PVR with the PC. Currently I just have a ATI Video Card with a Happaugue TV Tuner. It works well as a SD PVR.

Regards,

Charlie
