Basically, when I try to power on the 1070, quite often it'll turn on, make the normal click it makes when powering up, and then click again and turn right back off. It happens whether I use the front panel, or my Harmony remote. The solution is to just attempt to turn it on another time or two, by the third time, it'll stick to being on, but its a very big annoyance lately.

I'm still very happy with my 1070, but you know, the more I think about it, the more I think the Outlaws called it in on this one. The manual is still at version 0.9, never been updated past that, and more importantly, the receiver is riddled with major bugs, two years later. If this was their flagship product like the 990, you can bet that they'd never stand for that. I realize that software programming isn't always easy, but its not like this is inexpensive. Quite frankly, a lot of these bugs would be showstoppers for many, that we tolerate only because we appreciate the audio quality when it does work.

Have you tried turning off the power button on the back and unplugging the 1070 for a while?

I have not seen the problem you are describing, but it looks like it falls into that class of computer glitches you often can fix by rebooting.

I think I might have, but I'll have to try it again when I get home.

Nope, didn't help it, unfortunately.

I have the same problem.

I am using a power conditioner that I turn off when I leave my apartment. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

The problem hasn't bothered me yet. I kind of thought that it was the remote's batteries going dead.

I'll try to be more scientific with my own diagnosis next time I am home.

I do not have this problem. Have you installed the latest firmware?

It happens to me intermittently. I think everytime it's happened, it was when I pushed the power button on the front panel. It seems to do it very sneakily. Like I'll notice it's not on once everything else is powered up, and I'm like "did I push the pwr button twice by accident?"

i dunno - just a small bug. Another I live with in the pursuit of superior sound smile

Happens to me every time now, though if I remember right, it did start out intermittent.

I have the latest firmware. My original post was slightly incorrect though, because EVERY time, it powers on the second time. Its really a huge pain when using the remote, and slightly less annoying when using the button on the unit. (Ie, to power it on I have to press the help button on my Harmony remote a number of times.)
