I followed the instructions, and I'm a computer geek so I'm fairly certain nothings wrong with my computer.

I got the driver installed, browsed to the file, hit the upgrade button

It says Data Setting, scrolls the bar across,

Then erasing, scrolls the bar across.

Then the error 'device reset' pops up and now after shutting it off, putting it back into regular mode, it doesn't turn on or anything.

any ideas?

I think this issue was mentioned in a few threads back...

You'll need to unplug the unit, put the switch back in SVC, and retry the update. If this fails, you need to talk to Outlaw support, as you may have to return the unit.

This exact type of blow-up I had happen on my 1070 firmware upgrade. It ended up going back to them to fix it. They did turn it around quite quickly.

This is pretty much why I haven't done any firmware upgrades. My 990 with its original version meets my needs fine. And I do have to get off my butt and manually lower the gain on my subwoofer when I switch from DVD's to some music inputs. Small sacrifice for the sound I receive.

Did you use a USB cable? I had the same problem but switching to a serial cable and repeating the procedure fixed it! Hope this helps. Good Luck...

I tried downloading the firmware for almost an hour never could get it! I gave up.
I hope I'm not missing out on something important!

I had the same problem.I fought with it for a couple of hours. As a last stitch effort to not have to send it in I rebooted my computer in safe mode and it worked perfect. I ruled it to be a driver conflict with outlaws upgrade software. Let me know if this works for you we might be on to something
