Any suggestion on a good power conditioner, (PC)? I noticed alot of people use Panamax units. Are they the best bang for the buck? I was reading up on the Belkin PF60 I actually saw one on sale for $150. With a suggested retail $750 I became suspicious of its quality. I really need to upgrade my ole Monster power bar. Anyone has a PF60

I upgraded from an old Panamax unit to the Belkin PF60. I've been very happy with it, and it seems to have eliminated a slight hum from my amps that the Panamax didn't reduce.

There have been some good reviews on the PF60, and it's a very heavy (solid) unit. For $150 I don't think you could go wrong.

I also purchased the Belkin PF60 recently. provantage.com had a great deal on them about the same time I ordered my 990/7125. Very nice units. Here is a thread that compares the PF60 to the Monster stuff. Even has pictures of the insides.....

I purchased a Monster Power HTS 3500 last December on Ebay for $164.99. Plus, I received a $50 rebate and it had the full mfg warranty on it. That was the key for me, because if you don't get an authorized product, the equipment protection guarantee and the mfg warranty will not be available. I really wanted the equipment protection, and most of the units being sold on Ebay didn't have it, so I suggest you look carefully to ensure you will get this on whatever you buy. This model has a $100,000 connected equipment proection guarantee, so I doubt I am going to exceed that number any time soon!

Anyway, I can't vouch for all the other conditioners out there, but I really like mine, and it is, I feel, an exceptional deal, it feels very solid, and looks nice. That being said, I personally feel that Monster's cabling is WAY overpriced for what you get. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Monster Power HTS 3500 to anybody looking for a good conditioner for a reasonable price. Good luck!
