I have my OSD set at 10 seconds. My understanding is that the OSD should disappear after 10 seconds. Is there something wrong or is there something else I must do to have the OSD disappear. I have the OSD on an S video input to an input on my TV; the input is only used to view the OSD

The OSD delay setting refers to the monitor output's display that appears when changing inputs and volume (the two lines at the bottom that mimic the front panel), and with it set to a 10 second delay the OSD should disappear 10 seconds after the last command to the 950 (volume up/down, input change, surround mode change). The on-screen menu (the main setup screen) is unaffected by this delay setting, so if you are using the s-video input only to use the setup menus then the delay setting would not work.

Thanks, Gonk. That is exactly what I was doing. I assumed the menu display would disappear after 10 seconds. Unfortunately, my TV has Svideo input where I do not view TV (I have cable running to the coaxial input for my "cable" TV viewing) and my DVD is component audio where the OSD is not available from the 950. So, if I want to view the OSD I have to change inputs; the doggone 950 display is too hard to read 12 ft from my viewing chair. This is one of the pains I have found with the 950 integrating into my setup.
