I am going to buy the 950/755 setup. I have a 2oo watt adcom. I am not sure if i am able to use it with a 755 and a powered sub. How can I make use of this amp. I am new to this 5.1, 6.1 etc stuff, and not sure how to use the adcom, or if I can. I am also buying the Outlaw 950 pre pro. Can I make a 6.1 or 7.1 system out of these

Railbird, you can definitely use the Adcom amp to power your rear channels in a 7.1 system and use the 755 to power the rest of your surround system.

All you need to do is connect the rear channels from the 950 to the input of the Adcom amp. Connect two rear speakers to the Adcom. Configure the 7.1 system overall using the controls in the 950.

Bingo, you're in business.

Or, use the Adcom for the front L & R, and the 755 for the center, surrounds, and rears. Then, you only need the Adcom powered for stereo listening.

Good point, Kevin. I made my choice to create timbral consistency across the front soundstage in HT playback as well as two-channel. It's also why I have an Aragon three-channel amp across the front channels of my system. But powering up only the channels you need is also a persuasive point of view.
