I am using the DC trigger to turn on the 770, but need some suggestions on how I can get my external sub amp (which has no DC trigger) to also be "remotely triggered" by the 950 at the same time. Thanks for your help!

You would need a DC triggered outlet, such as a Niles product. There is also some sold at hometech.com. Figure around $100. Can you just leave the sub on all the time?

A lot of sub amps automagically turn off when there is no input signal. Are you sure yous doesn't do this? Mine takes about 45 minutes or so to turn off... keeps it from cutting out during quiet passages of listening.

Thanks for the suggestion applejelly. I will look at the Niles product.
Matthew, my subs are "passive" and driven by an external 2 channel amp- a GFA-555II. Thanks for your help.

I'll be going through the same procedure of cutting and soldering the end of the 1/8" mini plug. I will be connecting the trigger of the 950 to 2 wires I have coming out of a DB25 connector on the back of my ATI 1505 amplifier. The problem is the 950 puts out 100mA at the trigger and ATI recommends at least 200mA. I currently power the ATI with a Parasound P/SP1500 that puts out 350mA and the apm powers up just fine. Should I just go ahead and try the trigger from the 950 as is or go with a friends idea to build an external circuit to boost the output from the 950 trigger to 200+mA?
