I'm not sure if the new processor supports ethernet / 802.11 based streaming, but if it does, it would be really nice to add the codec necessary to support FLAC. FLAC is open source and fully lossless, supports tagging etc. Very cool.

Also, if the streaming capability could be made to support some flavor of normalization, that too would be nice. I can see how this could be relatively easily done for playlists, but I'm not so sure about on-the-fly normalization; I cannot recall if FLAC has anything in its header that defines the file's ndBFS value.

Still, even without normalization, supporting FLAC would be cool. Oh, and if this is already in the new Outlaw processor on the horizon? Well, in the words of "Emily Litella"... "Never mind..."
