I have a modest sound system.
Yamaha receiver, 100 watts per channel,
5 speaker surround,
100 watt yamaha sub.
I don't listen to music, use it strickly for HT.
I'm thinking about preordering the LFM-1, but wasn't sure if it would over-power my whole system. Would it be too much power?
Also, if I did get the LFM-1, should I keep my other sub, or would having two different brands of subs screw up the effect or something?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When properly set up (calibrated and such), a good sub should not overpower the rest of a system. Depending on the size of your room, you may not need the Yamaha sub anymore, but you can always experiment with it a bit.
