Ok, I just upgrade my surround speakers today. I got a pair of Polk f/x300i speakers for about $100. (Somebody did beat the Wiz!!) They have become my main surround speakers. The question arises with my surround back channel. I now have a pair of Infinity bookshelf speakers (rated at 8 ohms each) I can use across the rear surround channel. If I use them both, i.e. both connected to the 6th channel output on my 1050, they would be running at 4 ohms. However, all of my other speakers run at 8 ohms.

Would I be putting my 1050 in danger if I kept the switch at 8 ohms even though the sixth channel would be running at 4 ohms?? Or is my logic just totally screwed!!!

The manual states that when you have a mixed set of speaker impedances you should set the switch based on the fronts (see page 21). Remember to only operate the impedance switch when the 1050 is off.

Thanks. Guess I should've checked the manual. I forget sometimes just how good the Outlaw manual is.
