I have to say a am a little bit upset! I purchased my Onkyo 595 (brand new) audio receiver the first day it came out... I was happy, glad, and excited that I had a new receiver (even though I bought my Onkyo 575x just a month before that!). Then I decided to check out Outlaw Audios website. Since the 1050 was the receiver I orignally wanted, i didnt want to pay full price since I could get a discount on my Onkyos.

Then I saw that the 1050 was $499 and I'm pissed! I rather would have the 1050 than my Onkyo 595! Dont get me wrong, Onkyo makes probably one of the best receivers on the market, but I, for some reason, wanted the Outlaw Audio 1050.

Is there someone, anyone, who has an extra 1050 just possibly hanging around there house that will trade me! I know, its a silly (if not stupid) question, but I would love to trade someone... I'd pay for S+H and even give you $50.00 extra for the trade!

I WANT MY OUTLAW 1050!!!

E-Mail me if interested...

I'm not really sure why $100 would have stopped you from buying what you really wanted. If you spent many hundreds on the Onkyo, that's still plenty of money if the $100 is significant.

And your own free time goes into the equation, too. You can always stick a cheap, noisy washing machine in another room and close the door and no one's the wiser - but to spend $300-500 on a piece of equipment that you have to spend every second with and will either expand or limit your enjoyment - and NOT be satisfied - is really poor 'economics.'

It would seem your best bet now is to just bite the bullet - buy an Outlaw - and schlock the Onkyo - it will have cost you a 'bit' - but the lesson will have been well-learned. "Us poor folk don't have the resources to buy things twice - might as well get what we want the first time."

If I were you, I'd look on some other message boards and see if anyone is thinking of buying the Onkyo 595. If they are, offer to sell it to them for a good price.

Sell your Onkyo on ebay and get what you really want. I just about did the same thing as you did. I had bought a Yamaha HTR-5450 from Best Buy for $400.00 because I wanted to be sensible. Then I read more and more about the Outlaw and got a bad case of buyer's remorse. Fortunately, I was still within the return period and took the Yamaha back for a refund. The 1050 was on my doorstep two days later and I am extremely happy with it.
Good luck.
