Bogsy Deputy Gunslinger Registered: 12/19/02 Posts: 1	in the manual (page 26) it says that 5.1 direct input and selecting 6.1 surround mode, the DSP and bass management are active. is this true?

gonk Desperado Registered: 03/21/01 Posts: 14054 Loc: Memphis, TN USA	I never tried it when I had a 1050, but it would make sense and the manual is pretty explicit about it being that way. If the 6.1 Surround mode is active, then the 1050 has to convert at least the surround channels to digital to process them with the DSP engine. At that point, why not convert all of it?
