Hello,

I am seriously considering the outlaw. But, I was thinking of getting Polk Audio LSi9 (or LSi7) to go with them. I will be using only two mains (no rears or centers) and may be a sub.

But, LSi9 has sensitivity of 88dB and impedence of 4 ohms. Is outlaw tough enuf for that? Please let me know.

Best

I couldn't find any mention of others using the LSi's with the 1050 here on the forum. Others have used speakers with sensitivities at and below 88dB successfully, and others have driven 4 ohm speakers with the 1050 as well. Unless you are using them in a really large space, the 1050 should be up to the task (Polk recommends 20-150W of power, and the 1050's 65W is typically considered very conservative by the people who have used one). A quick e-mail to info@outlawaudio.com can confirm it, but I think you're fine. A sub will probably be worthwhile with either the LSi9 or LSi7, since they are bookshelves and won't reach real low.

I'm using six AAD E-30 satellites with a sensitivity rating of 87db, and an E-8 sub - which is no problem for the 1050. To say the power rating for the 1050 is conservative is definitely an understatement. The 1050 is a well built, powerful receiver.
