Has anyone read the review from johann at audioreview? What is his problem and gripe?

How can anyone listening to the 1050 give it a 1 star rating? To those who are considering the 1050 do not give any consideration to johann's review.

Not sure. He doesn't really seem to say much except that he doesn't need 6.1 and he doesn't like the 1050, for some unknown reason. Glad to see out of 104 reviews, most are very positive (actually I read a lot of them before I bought my 1050).

Also curious that he paid $638 from Outlaw when everyone else paid $499. Maybe he included cost of some interconnects? Who knows.

Although I like audioreview.com and have found lots of good information on that site, there seems to be some trash thrown in here and there, which I guess is to be expected.

(fixed typo)

I think Johann is one of those somewhat feeble, immature lumps that populate the world and have found great joy in the ability to speak on the Internet -- I'm almost surprised there haven't been any more such reviews pop up in the 1050 reviews, as it's sort of inevitable that a few will appear for even the best piece of equipment. His price of $638 matches the old price ($599 + $39 shipping, the standard price until almost a year ago), but he's only used it for a month -- the math doesn't add up. Makes me wonder if he even bought one. If he did and really did return it, I guess his loss is someone else's B-stock gain...

By the way, anybody else find it annoying when they have to read e-mail, IM/ICQ messages, or posts like Johann's that are riddled with typos, have random punctuation scattered into the middle of words, and generally ignore sentence structure and the traditions of the English language? I understand mispelling some things, we all do that, but this guy's "review" was so incoherent it lost any credibility. It's not like you can write a reasonably reply to his review (unlike the review responded to here ), because he makes no reasonable arguments -- or even really much sense!

(Sorry about the little rant there, I just sometimes get irritated by noise on the Internet like his review.)

#1. Sounds like an immigrant (Eastern-Bloc?)
That would explain the grammar.
#2 Sounds more like a bogus review to make Outlaw look bad. Unfortunately, critiscism from an illiterate moron doesn't seem too sting as much as it should.

Hee hee I'm the one that wrote the review after his. Read my opening paragraph hee hee:

"First of all, to the previous and seemingly mentally-challenged reviewer johann lukistch, I can only hope that English is your second language."

BTW audioreview really really has fallen apart and now totally sucks. No moderation, failure to add new products after numerous requests, glitches in the board, and a "don't need to register to post" system that totally beckons idiots.

It seems to me, even though any information is good, audioreview has a lot of dated products in it. It's good if your are going to buy used products, but not state of the art.

I have to get the english right. My wife is an english major!

I noticed your message was edited, Synthfreek. Correcting a spelling error?
