Thoughts on why my remote just quit working???...strange but today I turned the RR2150 on VIA remote...started to turn the volume up and it started then the red light went off and the remote quit working altogether...

I thought..."perhaps the batteries went dead" so I changed them...nothing...no red light when I touch any buttons...changed with another set of alkalines and nothing...the remote looks as new (I don't use it much) and has never been dropped or abused...

...any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...

I just tried the remote from my 1070 on the RR2150 and it operates everything fine...strange...

I'll contact the outlaws to see how much a replacement remote is...I don't use it much and the 1070 will work for many functions if it is too much...

,,,even my old 1050 remote works with my RR2150...that seems to fully rule out the receiver...

alright...tried a variation on something I was asked to try on another Forum...

I put one battery in the proper way and the other in the wrong way so the battery top was touching the other battery top....pushed the power button...essentially "shorting" out the remote and possibly resetting the remote (as explained by nukemicrosoft on Audiokarma.com)...

...put the batteries in the proper way and pushed the volume up button...the RR2150 got louder and the power light glows red as it should...

...perhaps static electricity caused the remote to stop...maybe just because it isn't used much...who knows...all I know is mine is back working...judging from the lack of response here and the difficulty getting any matches with google specifically for the RR2150...I am guessing I might be the only one this has happened to but should it happen to you on any of your electric stuff...give this a try before you buy another remote!
