It must be this time of year... My remote control started acting strange at the same time as it did for the previous two entries. When I push volume up on the remote, the knob starts moving and does not stop until reaching the max (fortunately I cought this early and did not destroy my expensive speakers). At the end you can hear the volume motor still working trying to push the volume knob over its maximum. When I push volume down, the same happens in reverse. When I press AM/FM the receiver starts switching between AM and FM over and over couple of times a second. Controlling the receiver manually seems to work OK. I even tried to unplug the receiver, wait and plug it back again, but it did not help. Now I am afraid to use remote at all since I (or my kids or wife) can blow up my speakers. Any suggestions?

pinouk-Try setting the volume with the remote control then push "3" on the keypad. This seems to set the volume. It's worth a try.

It is OK this morning. I guess the receiver changed its mind. Hope it is going to stay that way. I also changed the batteries in my remote. Thanks for your suggestion anyway.
