I just purchased an 950/Amp combo. Any body have information on this percieved problem. I have the 12 DC trigger connected between the 950 and my Outlaw AMP. It works fine until the Multizone is turned on. Then the trigger does not work any more. Is this normal. This would seem to preclude using the Multizone output while at the same time watching a DVD in the main room. ?????????

I'll check my trigger shortly (got to run home to check on a contractor anyway). I know I've had the second zone on while running the main system without trouble, however. Just to check all the possibilities, is the trigger at the 950 plugged in to the main or the zone trigger? (It shouldn't matter, but still...)

Connected to the Main.

I would hope the Main Triger would be activated by the Power on/off on the 950.

THe Zone trigger I would think, is activated by the Multizone on/off. In my mind they should be controlled seperatly. But what do I know.

The main zone trigger will stay at +12V if EITHER the main zone or remote zone is active. To get your main amp to turn off, you need to have both main zone and remote zone off.

I'm not quite sure why Outlaw did this -- maybe so that people could use one 770 to drive 5 channel in main zone and 2 channels in remote.

This became a big issue for me over the weekend. I set up a second zone for my patio then realized my main zone amp wasn't getting triggered.

Is there an external IR device that I can plug into the trigger jack on my 7100???

That way I can program a macro on my remote to turn on both the 950 and 7100 with multi-zone enabled.

I have the same problem, I have a headphone amp hooked up thru the second zone, when I have the second zone on, it does not allow the main trigger to work. I thought I was losing it.This does not seem right, does it?

I use the second zone trigger as an additional trigger. I don't run a second zone and the main never changes in any way that I can tell. See Post

This may be the solution to my problem: Auto switch

(thanks to a post on AV123)

Summer is pretty much over so the 2nd zone is off most of the time. Maybe I'll try this in the spring.
