I started with the beta Model 1050 June 2000, upgraded to the Model 950 a few years later and finally to the Model 975 at the beginning of 2013. Alas the 975 has reached end-of-life after 12 years. Multiple failed caps, four on first inspection.

I'm going to buy a Marantz Cinema 70s to replace the Model 975. My Model 750 amp (circa 2002) & two M200 monoblocks (circa 2004) are still working perfectly. So ... I'm not totally out of the Outlaw family.

And yet more damage ... on the underside of the HDMI sub board this time, and it was the lack of HDMI/ARC that led to this investigation! I think the four caps are fine, just glued down, but there's a swath of splash and corrosion across a bunch of SMCs and at least one transistor can and that corner of the board is near the burnt wire and main board damage ...full sized image and here's a thumbnail ...
