I am looking at getting power conditioner, specifically a PANAMAX M5300-PM. Anyone have experience or an opinion to offer regarding this unit or other makes? Open to suggestions.

Tripplite "Isobar" power line conditioners are extremely good, and since they are made for professional use, don't carry the "boutique cost penalty" of consumer grade stuff.

Thanks for the above referrals. I appreciate it. The brickwall seems to be a solid unit, however it is a basic no frills piece, (Not necessarily a bad thing). Having said that, it doesn't have any protection for Sat TV,phone, Ethernet connections..no 12 v trigger etc.. I came across another unit Pureav I can get it for $199. Any thoughts? Anybody have one?

Gonk,
Are you using the Belkin PureAV™ Home Theater Power Console PF60? I agree the MSRP is high. Though at $200 it is real competitive, well actually less expensive than Panamax and Monster units with similar features. I read a couple of positive reviews. How has it worked out for you?

edcon and gonk,
I'm thinking of adding the Belkin PureAV PF60. I will be hooking up my new 990/7500 shortly and want to make sure all my components are protected. I'm new to this, so here's my question. There's only one cord to plug in, is it okay to plug both the 990 and 7500 and the rest of my A/V equipment into the PF60? The manual for the 7500 recommends using a dedicated circuit. If I use a dedicated circuit to plug the PF60 into, will this provide adequate power to run all my equipment?
Thanks.

The reason that Outlaw recommends a dedicated circuit for some of their amps is that to achieve the rated output from multiple channels at once, you would need all of the current available from a single circuit. The circumstances that would produce such a current draw are actually quite rare in real life, though. I'll offer an example from my own system: my PF60 serves a 990, a 7500, two Model 200's, a 32" CRT HDTV, an LFM-1 (the original Outlaw sub), an SMS-1, and about half a dozen source components (HD DVR cable box, DVD player, Blu-ray player, HD-DVD player, DVD recorder, VCR, and a Roku Labs SoundBridge). Speakers are Paradigm Reference mains, center, and rear surrounds along with Axiom side surrounds - none of which are exceptionally efficient. When playing at reference levels, the PF60 typically reports no more than 7A of current draw. At more modest listening levels, that draw can routinely hover around 4A. As a result, there's no need for me to have a dedicated circuit for my power amps.
