Hi all - repurposing my old 950 for a bedroom setup and am curious about the type of IR Remote Sensor to plug into the back. The 950 will be in a closet and I want to run a sensor through the wall.

There are multiple types of sensors out there for sale.

Is there a certain kind I need to use? Can a “passive” sensor work? Just a sensor on a cord with a mono plug into the processor? Certain frequency?

Not expensive, just want to get the right one. Manual a little lacking in this regard and I’ve never used one before...

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

- Dan

Anyone? I bought one on Ebay, no idea if it will work...

"IR Receiver Cable External 38-56kHz Infrared Sensor 3.5mm Jack Plug Wire Cord"

Again, any thoughts appreciated.
