definitely keeping it. The likelihood, with a little one on the way, that the wife would go for a $2400 sub is about 1-1.5% these days. So I think this is a great opportunity and I should have fun with it. Money comes and goes. This may be the only thing I win in my life. And I'm donating one of my 12's to my dad. He's got a sub the size of a lunch cooler - he'll be thrilled to get a new 12. I may need advice on which to keep.
B&W ASW650
Earthquake Sound SuperNova MKIV12
I'm leaning towards parting w/ the B&W. But I think the Earthquake is definitely worth more to me and I think it outperforms the ASW650 in many ways. (It's also a smaller, more compact, and therefore easier to place unit.)
Both are good performers. And I'm attached to both. Although I don't think she'd care too too much, the Earthquake I received from my wife as a birthday gift. I bought the B&W brand new at HiFi House for $575. Most likely the B&W goes to the old man. He'll love it.
