I cannot bring up the speaker levels (for adjustment) on the OSD of my 976 while the video is playing Is this even possible?
I like to adjust the level of say, the center channel (up), when audio is in Dolby Digital, or adjust the other speaker levels based on the audio being transmitted...while still watching the video.
The owner's manual says that video is disabled when you bring up the "menu" on the remote...which leads me to conclude that I cannot bring up the speaker level menu option while still playing the source.
Anyone been able to get around this issue?
Review of the Owner's Manual reveals that this is only allowed on the 976's Display, See below excerpt:
Start playing your source material.
Note: The master volume control cannot be used
while adjusting channel levels.
Press the “Test” button on the remote control.
The front panel display will show TEST OFF.
Press ENTER on the remote.
The front panel display will show the first channel
to be adjusted along with the current level.
Press the up or down buttons (▲ or ▼) on the
remote to increase or decrease the trim for the
left channel.
Press the left or right buttons (◄ or ►) on the
remote to accept the channel level and change
to the next channel.
Repeat the process for the remaining channels.
Normal mode will resume when you cycle through
all of the channels or you press the TEST button
again.
