Just upgraded to 7.1 with my 990. What default surround format do you guys set the outlaw to when watching cable which is broadcast in 5.1? thx in advance

Your top option for 7.1 reproduction, in this set up, would be to set the Model 990 to PLIIx Movie. This would be your best option for either a digital (Optical, or Coax) audio connection, or a stereo analog connection from your source device.
