That's how XenonMan gets his count up - he double posts everything.  But yes, gonk used to be much more prolific on these boards before he got so busy. Edit: Hank beat me to it! Simultaneous postings! I'm only member 489, I have no claim to double digits.

Even I'm running out of patience, guys. I certainly don't expect announced ship date, or target month, but I'd like to hear about progress.
Cain, most of us don't have the budget for a $3,999 Marantz AV8802A. That's why we are Outlaw customers. I'd expect the next gen Outlaw to be less than $2,000.
Note to self: "Patience is a virtue".
Reply: "It ain't forever". Hank, take a look at the Marantz 7702, selling price around $1,200.00. 11.2 channels, Dolby Atmos. Audyssey "Platinum".

One thing to point out is the AV7702 isn't HDCP 2.2 compliant. Otherwise, I might've quit waiting a while ago. I don't upgrade pre/pros often, so I'd like to make sure it contains at least what might be needed now to make it as future proof as possible. But, I'm pretty frustrated at this point also.
To correct this post, I was looking and see the the Marantz AV7702mkII is HDCP 2.2 compliant.

I hate to, but I was offered a Marantz AV8802A for 15% off list price at a brick and mortar store. My understanding is I should be able to add DTS:X when available via firmware update. I may jump. I lived through the 978 situation and I think I may need to take this. You're happy with your purchase Cain, yes?

Maybe the reason for the New pre/pros delay is DTS:X. I have read they are having problems with the codec and it won't be ready for existing DTS:X ready units until early 2016. If that's the case, I could see Outlaw delaying it's new pre/pro until it could ship with DTS:X already installed; avoiding an update. Even if this is accurate, I would still like to see a feature list of the new unit.

Thanks for the Marantz info, guys. TL5, the DTS:X delay might explain the Outlaw delay, and yes, we'd like to see a feature list.
